Celebrate the Next Era of Exploration in Forward to the Moon and Passport to the Universe Join us at the Blake Planetarium for a special evening program celebrating humanity’s return to the Moon and the future of space exploration. This event is free and open to the public, but tickets must be reserved in advance. Our feature presentation, Forward to the Moon, highlights the next chapter in human spaceflight. Hosted by Kari Byron (MythBusters, Crash Test World), this inspiring program explores NASA’s Artemis program and the bold vision to establish a sustainable human presence beyond Earth. Learn how, within a single lifetime, we’ve advanced from the first rockets to planning missions that will return humans to the Moon, including landing the first woman and person of color on its surface. This show offers an exciting look at the technology, innovation, and global collaboration shaping our future in space. We’ll also screen Passport to the Universe, a breathtaking journey narrated by Tom Hanks. Travel from our Solar System through the Milky Way and out to the Virgo Supercluster before returning home, gaining an astronaut’s-eye view of the incredible scale and beauty of the cosmos and a powerful reminder of the imagination driving human exploration. The evening will also include live constellation awareness, helping you connect what you’ve seen on the dome to the real night sky and highlighting key features visible during this exciting era of lunar exploration. THIS IS A FREE EVENT, BUT TICKETS MUST BE RESERVED ONLINE. NO WALK-INS. Please note that we are a ticketless venue. When you reserve your ticket online, you are immediately added to our attendee list, no need to print anything or present an e-ticket. Just check in on show night with your name and a smile. All ages welcome. Parking is free. Food and drink are not allowed in the planetarium. If you have questions about the event, please email Alison Riordan at ariordan@plymouth.k12.ma.us (Science Curriculum Coordinator, Plymouth Public Schools).
